Hope After the Storm

Wooo, I finally finished this!! I've been working on this on and off since last September. It was really difficult for me.

It's my favorite guy, Shepard Smith He's a news anchor for the FOX News Channel. You should watch his shows; they are awesome!
**Studio B at 3pm Eastern and The FOX Report at 7pm Eastern**

This painting is based on a photo of him during his Hurricane Katrina coverage after the storm hit. He was in Waveland, MS at the time. Waveland was destroyed. Still is. When I saw that smile and found a screencap of it, I had to use it for a digital painting! I looked at some other photos of him to some details that I couldn't see in the main image.

His coverage of Hurricane Katrina was absolutely amazing. I can't say I've ever been so moved during something that didn't directly affect me. He's not a stuffy journalist; he's real. He is also from Mississippi, so the whole thing has been very personal for him.
I deeply respect him for what he does. He's often my inspiration.
